Armand Julian Burke
Office Manager
My Name is Armand Julian Burke. I was born and raised right here in Las Vegas Nevada. I am a proud Leo,son, fraternal twin, middle child by default (curse those two minutes) and older brother. I adore being a grandson, a nephew, a cousin and a friend. I absolutely live for being black, christian, gay and 6 foot tall, but most of all I am a excited every day to simply be me. My journey began with a strong foundation in family and community—values instilled in me by my parents, who have celebrated over 38 years of marriage and love. While my none of my relatives live in Las Vegas, I’ve been blessed with a village of chosen family, many from First African Methodist Episcopal Church. My Vegas family tree is filled with adopted aunties, uncles, and lifelong friends who helped shape who I am today.
I studied Political Science at the College of Southern Nevada before transferring to UNLV, where my passion for public service and advocacy continued to grow. During that time, I began working in the mental health field—an opportunity that quickly evolved into a career. For over 11 years, I served as the Office Manager of a private Marriage and Family Therapy practice, wearing nearly every administrative hat imaginable. I was the receptionist, scheduler, biller, client care coordinator, payroll manager, credentialing lead, provider liaison, conflict resolution specialist, onboarding coordinator, and audit organizer—just to name a few. I like to say I did everything except therapy and custodial work (though even those weren’t entirely off the table some days!).
That experience wasn’t just a job—it was training ground. It taught me the inner workings of mental health care from the inside out, and how to be a calm presence in the midst of crisis. In April 2024, I took the next step in my professional journey by joining Illuminated Path, where I continue to serve the Las Vegas community with the same passion, empathy, and dedication that has defined my career.
At Illuminated Path, I bring not only a deep understanding of mental health systems and client care—but also a steadfast commitment to creating a welcoming and efficient experience for every person who walks through our doors. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are, and in helping illuminate their unique path to wellness. My mother always prayed, “Lord, let people smile when they see you coming”—and that’s exactly the energy I aim to bring into every space I enter.
This is more than a meet and greet—it’s the beginning of a journey toward healing, and I am honored to walk alongside you and my team here at Illuminated Path..
