My name is Beatriz Juarez-Ocampo, and my pronouns are (she/her). Born and raised in Las Vegas, I pursued a career in social work to advocate for individuals facing systemic barriers to mental health care. Growing up in a city with a rapidly evolving and diverse population, I understand the importance of culturally responsive care and the power of advocacy in creating meaningful change. My experience in acute behavioral health settings, outpatient mental health, and community outreach has reinforced my deep commitment to supporting individuals through life’s challenges. My passion lies in meeting individuals where they are, tailoring interventions to their unique needs, and creating a space where healing feels possible. Above all, I strive to bridge gaps in mental health access and create an environment where every individual feels heard, valued, and empowered.
Profile, Key Skills & Characteristics
I am a Master’s-Level Social Worker and Clinical Social Work Intern with experience in acute psychiatric care, outpatient mental health, transitional sober living, and community outreach. I have worked with individuals experiencing homelessness, as well as those managing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related challenges. My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based interventions, to provide a compassionate and empowering therapeutic experience.
Activities and Interests
Outside of my career, I enjoy exploring new coffee shops and small businesses, staying active, and spending quality time with family, friends, and my two Shiatzus. As I continue my journey as a bilingual clinical social work intern in Las Vegas, my goal is to provide personalized, client-centered care that fosters lasting change in the lives of those I se
